About Us
We are people with an idea; born and raised in America in a very rural setting. An idea passed down through the generations to now, 2016, where three generations continue working together to help teach a set of values that continue to bring us happiness. Mother, son, and grandson head up this idea, and the real visionary is Steven Jenkins, who continues to travel the world living with the poor, teaching and learning from them as he continues to be adamant. Steven does not have any formal education to speak of, only a few semesters in a local college. Jenkins was home schooled, growing up in the mountains of Northern California, and spending the winters in Hawaii, where his father George Jenkins, sixty five years (his senior) lived until his late nineties before he moved to California where he continued to live. Jenkins father was a vegan from birth, and never had any diseases. Before he died he moved back to his Meadow Springs land, where he lived until he was evicted in a snow storm, (just two weeks from his 100th birthday). Jenkins family had donated their estate to the Total Health Foundation and the Lee family from Portland, Oregon (who claimed if they did so would be able to live there the rest of his life). He died only a few months later due to homelessness, exposure to cold, flu, and stress. Suffering through the depression of 1929, and later the 2008 market crash, the Jenkins family have never lost their dream of working with the poor and providing a Sober Living Environment for those who want to change. Son, Steven Jenkins started Meadow Springs Lifestyle Center in 1993, and was the director of that project for about fifteen years. Then in 2006, he started the Kolapa House of Charity in Hawaii. When asked who he is, Jenkins usually says, "I'm no one important", however, he does have a few talents. Besides being a motivational speaker speaker on a variety of subjects, Jenkins plays piano, and sings, rides unicycle, and enjoys outdoor actives, especially sailing, diving, hiking, biking, and he wants to get into air born activities. Jenkins wants to be a role model for kids around the world by living a sober life, and involving the youth in what he calls "healthy fun".
